Bed Bugs Life Cycle:
Bed bugs develope from microscopic eggs and begin the 5 lifecycle developmental stages to adulthood. After hatching from an egg, each life stage can only be reached by obtaining a blood meal. This process usually takes between 24 – 36 days when exposed to an environment providing blood meals. Adult bed bugs are easily seen by the naked eye, however, eggs and first stage instars can be difficult to spot as their color is transparent and size is extremely small.
Who is at risk for getting bed bugs?
Everyone!! Bed bugs are not picky and can thrive in even the cleanest environments. A bed bug problem does not indicate an unclean or cluttered home or business. There are situations that do pose a higher risk of exposure to bed bugs as follows:

How can I prevent a bed bugs infestation?
There are several steps you can take to minimize your risk of contracting bed bugs in your daily routine.
-
-
- Inspect second-hand furniture, beddings, and clothing
- While staying at hotels, motels, never place your luggage on the bed. Always use the luggage racks
- During and after traveling, inspect your luggage for signs of bed bugs
